TUSDM faculty, alumni, and students attend 2024 Teledental Summit
On June 27, TUSDM representatives attended the 2024 Teledental Summit, hosted by CareQuest and the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers.
During the summit, students Anna Lubitz, D26, and Megha Kanabar, D25, presented their literature review on the influence of teledentistry in Massachusetts. Kathryn Dolan, assistant professor for the Department of Public Health & Community Service, served as faculty mentor.
Dr. Matthew Horan, D08, from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH), and Dr. Athanasios Zavras, professor and chair of the Department of Public Health & Community Service, led the teledentistry literature review as part of the PRIDE Grant.
Also attending the summit were Tiffany Bairos, assistant professor for the Department of Comprehensive Care, and Dr. Samantha Jordan, D10, dental director of MassHealth, the combined Massachusetts Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
