D28 Cradles to Crayons Community Service Event – A Great Success!
The Class of 2028 is excited to share that they’ve just wrapped up their first D28 community service event, and it was a fantastic success! With 27 dental students participating at Cradles to Crayons (with Nancy Marks helping organize the event), there was a great turnout.
The team was assigned to the sorting station at Cradles to Crayons, where they handled clothing, books, and shoes, ensuring each item met quality standards and organizing them into the correct categories (pants, t-shirts, jackets, etc.). In less than two hours, the students managed to process over seven large moving crates! Additionally, D28 coordinated student volunteer drivers, allowing students to save on school funds (spending zero dollars of school funds) while transporting the large group!
