Conversations With Cathedral High School
Cathedral High School recently hosted one of its inspiring Panther Pep Talks, an initiative designed to introduce students to a wide range of career paths by inviting professionals from various fields to share their experiences and insights. During this particular session, the spotlight was on the field of dentistry. Students from grades 6 through 9—many of whom had little to no prior exposure to dentistry—were given a unique opportunity to learn more about oral health care and the many career possibilities it offers.
Members from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM), representing both ADEA and CMDA, participated in the event. Through engaging presentations and open discussions, they shared valuable information about the different dental specialties, what it’s like to attend dental school, and the rewarding aspects of a career in dentistry. The session not only sparked curiosity among the students but also helped to demystify the profession for those who may not have considered it before.
TUSDM student representatives Isabel Terrasa, Nelson Martinez, Teresa Woods, and Kayla Green were instrumental in delivering this enriching experience. Their enthusiasm, knowledge, and relatable perspectives left a lasting impression on the young audience, making the Panther Pep Talk a meaningful and memorable event.
