Community Service: Food Heals
The holiday season is a time for giving—and there’s no better way to give back than by volunteering with Community Servings. Whether you’re looking to roll up your sleeves, deliver meals with your family, or support our biggest fundraiser of the year, we have meaningful opportunities for everyone.
Choose from several fun and impactful ways to help during Food Heals’ annual fundraising Thanksgiving bake sale:
Box Party: Assemble pie boxes and deliver packaging materials to bakers. Saturday, Nov. 15 | 10 AM–2 PM / Where: Community Servings, Jamaica Plain
Pie Central: Sort & Quality Control: Help us sort, label, and package 2,000+ pies. Monday, Nov. 24 | Noon–7 PM/ Where:Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, 415 Summer Street, Boston

Pie Drivers: Transport pies from bakeries to Pie Central and pick-up sites. Monday, Nov. 24 & Tuesday, Nov. 25/ VEHICLE REQUIRED–>
Pick-Up Site Support: Greet pie buyers and support order fulfillment. Tuesday, Nov. 25/ Where: Locations across Greater Boston and Eastern Massachusetts.

Join on Wednesday, November 26, and Wednesday, December 24, to deliver holiday meals and joy directly.
These family-friendly volunteer shifts are ideal for pairs or small groups and offer a meaningful, hands-on way to connect with the individuals whose lives are touched by their work.
Depart from Jamaica Plain (9 AM, 10 AM, 11 AM) or Mansfield (10 AM)

Winter Break Volunteering
School’s out between Christmas and New Year’s, but our mission continues. Winter Break is a great time to break up your PTO days and engage teens (13+) or college students in the importance of giving back. Join Food Heals in Jamaica Plain or Mansfield to help prep, package, and deliver meals to the community.
