Women’s Lunch Place Volunteering
This past week on October 29th, Tufts HSDA had the opportunity to table at Women’s Lunch Place, a day shelter in Boston dedicated to supporting women in need. The event focused on promoting oral health and wellness through community engagement and resource distribution.
As part of HSDA’s continued commitment to community outreach, Tufts dental students Ana Gabriela Jimenez (D28), Yasmine Shah (D29), Rut Estrella (D26), Diana Florencio (D27), and Jacob Parker (D28) volunteered their time to connect with guests, share information about oral care, and distribute free dental hygiene kits.
The team handed out approximately 150 hygiene kits, each containing essential oral care items to help promote daily brushing and flossing habits. Through friendly conversations and approachable guidance, volunteers helped empower attendees with the tools and encouragement needed to prioritize their oral health.
A special thank you to all those who volunteered for a good cause!
