National Native American Heritage Month Events
November is National Native American Heritage Month!
The Society of American Indian Dental Students (SAIDS) invites you to join us in celebrating the rich, diverse, and resilient cultures of Native peoples across the country. This week, November 10–15, is “Rock Your Mocs” Week — a time to honor Native traditions and heritage by wearing moccasins with pride. For Native American students, it’s a celebration of identity and connection to our ancestors. For allies, it’s an opportunity to learn about the history and cultural importance of moccasins. You can join the celebration by chatting with any SAIDS member about it, or by exploring #RockYourMocs on social media to see a vibrant display of moccasins from tribes across North America.
Although SAIDS will not be hosting an in-person event this month, we encourage you to engage with the community by exploring local celebrations around Boston!
