ABOUT LATHAM THOMAS   

Latham Thomas is a leading women’s health expert, Black maternal health advocate, entrepreneur, professor, and best-selling author. She is the founder of Mama Glow, a global maternal health and education platform with a community of 3,000+ doulas across the U.S. and six continents, supporting families from fertility through postpartum. She also founded the Mama Glow Foundation, a nonprofit advancing reproductive justice and birth equity through education, advocacy, arts, and research and scholarship.

Latham serves on the Kate Spade New York Social Impact Council, TUFTS Nutrition Council, and the Community Advisory Board for Northwell Health’s MOMs Program, where Mama Glow also trains nursing staff through NIH-supported initiatives. She is currently designing a doula navigator program in partnership with Mt Sinai and has worked with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield to design a Federal Employee Doula Benefit servicing 2.2 million Americans. In 2022, she was appointed Visiting Professor of Gender and Sexuality Studies at Brown University, a historic first, where the Mama Glow Doula Training Program became the first doula course offered at an Ivy League university.

She helms the Mama Glow Doula Homeschool Professional training program and launched the annual award-winning Doula Expo by Mama Glow, coined the “Coachella for Birth Workers and Families” by Good Morning America. Recognized as one of Oprah’s Super Soul 100, Latham has supported numerous celebrity clients including Alicia Keys and Anne Hathaway, authored two best-selling books and recently launched a guided meditation audio program, “Peaceful Parenting”. With over 20 years of experience in women’s health advocacy, Latham is a sought-after speaker and leads award winning, culture-shifting campaigns that advance maternal health.
