Ramadan Mubarak!

Ramadan Mubarak from TUSDM MSA!

Greetings and Assalamu Alaykoum (peace be upon you) on behalf of the TUSDM Muslim Students Association (MSA).

As you may have read in Dr. Gottlieb’s email, it is anticipated that the month of Ramadan, a sacred month observed by Muslims worldwide, will start on the evening of February 17th, 2026. On behalf of TUSDM’s MSA, Amr and Laila would like to extend warm wishes to all those observing. Ramadan is a time of reflection, spiritual growth, community, and generosity, and a month that encourages kindness, self-discipline, and compassion.

To support our Muslim students, post-graduate students, and faculty during this time, we have planned a variety of programs throughout Ramadan. Please find attached a Ramadan Calendar, which includes details on:

  • Daily Taraweeh prayers on campus.
  • Weekly Iftar (breaking of fast) gatherings.
  • A special Eid celebration around the end of March.

Additionally, we want to remind everyone that:

  • Jummah (Friday) prayer takes place weekly at Posner Hall.
  • A dedicated prayer space is available in Room 704 of the Medical Education Building.

Thanks to the incredible efforts and support of TUSDM’s Administration, Muslim dental students, residents, and faculty have been granted access to Room DHS-742 (right behind Merritt Auditorium) as a temporary prayer space for the month of Ramadan.
