Practice Management Club
About
The Practice Management Club at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine serves the purpose of providing students with valuable opportunities to discuss and learn about practice management and life after dental school. Through faculty connections, guest speaker presentations, and seminars, we facilitate learning and enhance students’ understanding of the business aspects of dentistry. Our club aims to create a supportive community where students can continuously interact with each other, supplementing the third-year practice management course and fostering collaboration. We focus on key areas such as assets and credit management, insurance (practice, personal, and patients’ insurances), financing options, associate dentist management, aesthetics of practice, and ethics in practice. By addressing these critical topics, we equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for successful practice management. Our ultimate goal is to empower TUSDM students, preparing them for the challenges they will encounter in their dental careers, and enabling them to build thriving and ethical dental practices.
The purpose of the practice management club is:
- To provide TUSDM students the opportunity to discuss and learn about practice management and life after dental school through making faculty connections, providing guest speaker presentations, and seminars.
- To form a foundation for students to continuously interact with each other about anything related to practice management and dentistry as a whole, which supplements the third-year practice management course.
