Dr. Cummins will support and develop DEI initiatives
On Sept. 18, Assistant Dean for Diversity and Inclusion, Assistant Professor Dr. Jeanette Holloway, announced that Dr. Jason Cummins, D22, had joined the Department of Public Health & Community Service as a clinical instructor.
Dr. Cummins will be taking on a vital role in TUSDM’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives—a role to which he brings commitment, experience, and passion. He will be teaching DEI courses and collaborating with his colleagues on the development of courses concerning topics such as, but not limited to, unconscious/implicit bias, anti-racism, restorative justice, bridging cultural gaps, LGBTQIA concerns, and disability awareness. In addition, Dr. Cummins will also be collaborating with the Office of Admissions on outreach, recruitment, and retention efforts.
