Volunteer for our Annual Cherish Chinatown Cleanup!

The 4th Annual Tufts Cherish Chinatown Spring Cleanup will take place on Wednesday, May 1 from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Join over 100 Tufts students, faculty and staff volunteers to pick-up trash, clean sidewalks, plant flowers and complete projects in Boston’s Chinatown neighborhood, the home of Tufts’ Health Sciences Campus.  

This is a great interprofessional event!  In 2023, we were joined by Chulan Huang, Mayor Michelle Wu’s Neighborhood Liaison for Chinatown, the City of Boston’s Office of Civic Organizing, Josiah Quincy Elementary School (JQES) & the Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center (BCNC).Please sign up to join us this year. The 4th annual cleanup will take place on

Cherish Chinatown is a Tufts University initiative that was started in spring 2021 by dental and medical students with support from the Office of Government and Community Relations and Tisch College. The aim of this initiative is to:1.    Educate Tufts students and employees about the history and cultural importance of Boston’s Chinatown.2.    Organize community engagement opportunities that support Chinatown residents, small businesses, and non-profit organizations in conjunction with Chinatown leaders.
