Woburn Headstart Presentation with HSDA

On February 28th, members of HSDA visited Woburn Creative Start to deliver an interactive oral health presentation to over 50 children, ages 2-5 years old. Volunteers Jeancarlos Ferman (D’25), Valquiria De Laurencio (D’26), Ana Jimenez (D’28), and Daniela Marroquin (D’28) taught the children about the functions of teeth, healthy eating habits, what to expect at the dental office, and proper brushing and flossing techniques. The children participated in hands-on activities like brushing the teeth of a large dinosaur model and enjoyed a read-aloud session. The presentation encouraged the children to ask questions and get excited about their oral health. This event helped promote positive dental habits at an early age while allowing HSDA to give back to the community in an engaging and impactful way.
