Chinatown Night Out with TUSDM
On August 5, 2025, Chinatown’s National Night Out turned into a vibrant festival of smiles, thanks to the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) team! Four lively student volunteers Mariah King (D29), Ryane Farrell (D28), Matthew Chen (D28), and Shivani Merchia (D29) brought their A-game to spread joy and dental know-how. The TUSDM booth was buzzing with activity, featuring adorable plush dinosaur and tiger models that made learning to brush delightful! Kids and adults alike cheered through rounds of Dental Jeopardy, laughing and competing for the win.
Between games, families stocked up on 100 toothbrushes, 100 tubes of toothpaste, and floss all while picking up tips that made oral care fun. The scent of carnival treats floated through the air, blending with music, balloon art, and the sound of happy chatter. Kids shared their big dreams of becoming dentists, and the volunteers encouraged everyone with enthusiasm! By the end, the students were glowing from the joy of serving their community in such a colorful, heartwarming way! It was a night of laughter, learning, and the kind of connection that makes you count down the days until next year.
