Brush up Boston

The ADEA Education, Research, and Faculty Relations group at TUSDM organized an Oral Health Promotion event focused on increasing awareness among children, parents, and older adults. Throughout the event, members engaged participants in one-on-one and small group conversations, demonstrating proper brushing and flossing techniques and emphasizing the importance of regular dental care. Oral hygiene kits—including toothbrushes and floss—were distributed to encourage healthy habits at home.
Although no formal screenings were conducted, the interactive discussions helped participants build confidence in their oral health knowledge. The experience was especially meaningful for the student organizers, strengthening their communication skills and reinforcing the value of community outreach and health education in their development as future dental professionals.

Thank you to all the participants and volunteers who made this event so meaningful!
