About
Thanks for stopping by! We are the TUSDM chapter of the American Association of Public Health Dentistry (AAPHD). Our faculty advisors are Public Health Dental is the Associate Professor of Public Health and Community Service, the Director of Community Service Learning Externship Program, and Deputy Director of Global Health and Community Service Learning Dr. Cynthia Yered. The AAPHD was founded nationally in 1937. Here at TUSDM the AAPHD aims to promote oral health by educating our members on relevant public health issues, supporting effective programs of disease prevention and oral health promotion, and engaging in community service outreach events. In addition, AAPHD is excited to bring to our community various speakers who can educate us on dental public health, highlight student and faculty research, become involved in public health advocacy, create an interprofessional collaboration with other Tufts health students, and more. We are excited about the future of our chapter and we encourage anybody interested in public health to join AAPHD!
