About
TUSDM Sports Dentistry Club Mission Statement:
The purpose of this organization is to provide educational opportunities within the TUSDM community surrounding the dental implications of sports, create wellness/athletic opportunities for current students to participate, and engage TUSDM’s local communities to promote proper oral hygiene related to sports.
The Sports Dentistry Club will provide opportunities for students to learn from professionals regarding how to enter the field of sports dentistry, the history of the industry, and the current trends of the industry. The club will host events centered around athletics, encouraging the TUSDM community to come together over sports and physical activity. Lastly, the club will promote good oral hygiene and proper care of the oral cavity before, during and after athletic competitions for local community partners.

- 10/18/23 – Speaker Series: Dr. Robert Amato, Former Boston Bruins team dentist
- January 2024 – Community Outreach presenting to a local school about mouth guards and OHI
- March 2024 – Speaker Series: Dr. Jim Lonborg, TUSDM alum & Former Boston Red Sox pitcher
- May 2024 – Community Outreach partnering with Tufts Undergrad
- July 2024 – Kickball Kickoff!
