I petition academic professional associations:

•   to report the environmental impact of their meetings;
•   to support virtual conferencing and low-carbon forms of transport for meetings;
•   to set ambitious goals for emissions reductions in line with the cuts suggested by climate science; and
•   to work with members to meet key professional objectives in ways that do not require flying.
