Colonel Damon Knarr earned a commission through ROTC at Florida State University in 1998. Colonel Knarr holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Webster University and is a graduate of the Army’s Engineer Officer’s Basic Course, Combined Arms Services Staff School, the US Army Infantry Captain’s Career Course, Forced Entry Tactical Training Master Breacher’s Course, the Army’s Command and General Staff College and Joint Professional Education Phase II, Joint and Combined Warfighting School.

Colonel Knarr has served in leadership positions ranging from Platoon Leader to Battalion Commander and a number of staff positions throughout his career. Prior to his current assignment Colonel Knarr served as the Engineer Intelligence Officer in the Rapid Reaction Corps France (NATO) from 2012-2015 and from 2015-2017 as the Battalion Commander for the 299th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division and most recently as Military Faculty at the Joint and Combined Warfighting School. Colonel Damon Knarr is married with four children.
