Lieutenant Colonel Frank A. Biancardi II

Lt. Col. Frank A. Biancardi II is a National Defense Fellow in the International Security Studies Program at the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. Lt. Col. Biancardi entered the Air Force after commissioning in 2002 from the United States Air Force Academy. Prior to his fellowship, Lt. Col. Biancardi, has served in a variety of positions including, the Principal Military Assistant to the Commander, NATO Allied Joint Forces Command, Brunssum, The Netherlands; Commander, 9th Air Support Operations Squadron; Commander 11th Air Support Operations Squadron; Branch Chief A5/8 Combat Forces Panel, Headquarters Air Force; Assistant Director of Operations, and B-1B Instructor Pilot. Lt. Col. Biancardihas also served as an Air Liaison Officer to 3rd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, Ft Bragg, NC; Flight Commander, and Jump Master, 14th ASOS, Pope AFB, NC. As a B-1B Instructor, Aircraft Commander, and Air Liaison Officer, Lt. Col. Biancardi has deployed numerous times in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, NATO RESOLUTE SUPPORT, and other contingency operations. He had the honor of leading his flight overseas as Brigade Air Liaison Officer deploying with the 4th Brigade, 10th Mountain Division & 3rd Brigade, 82d Airborne Division. Lt. Col. Biancardihas over 120 combat sorties and over 2,000 flying hours as an Instructor Pilot and Aircraft Commander in the B-1B Lancer, T-38 Talon, and T-6 Texan II.Lt Col Biancardi was born in Methuen, Massachusetts. He is married to the former Stacie Lee Forsythe of Methuen, MA. Their greatest source of pride is their son, Trent (9), extended family, and friends.
