Lieutenant Colonel Nathan Scott

LTC Nathan Scott is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, and commissioned into the US Army as an Armor officer in May of 2004. From 2005 until 2008, LTC Scott served as a Platoon Leader for a Stryker Mobile Gun System Platoon in C Company, 5-20 Infantry, deploying to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. From 2008 until 2009, he served as an Instructor at the Military Intelligence Basic Officer Leaders course, teaching operations and tactics while also serving as a Tactical Officer for two classes of students.

In 2009, LTC Scott transitioned into the Army Reserve, where he has served in a number of roles including as a Strategic Intelligence Analyst for the USCENTCOM Army Reserve Element J2, Company Commander for C Company 3-398 Infantry, Operations Officer for the CONUS Replacement Center at Fort Bliss, TX, Senior Intelligence Watch Officer for the USTRANSCOM J2 at Scott AFB, Brigade Intelligence Officer for the 648th Regional Support Group, and as the Deputy Brigade Commander for the Ft Bliss Mobilization Brigade. From May of 2021 until May of 2023, LTC Scott was the Battalion Commander for the 337th Military Intelligence Battalion, stationed out of Ft Sheridan, IL. LTC Scott is currently assigned as a Group Leader for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s Army Reserve element in St. Louis, MO.

LTC Scott is a graduate of the Armor Officer Basic Course, the Military Intelligence Captains Career Course, the Command and General Staff College, and the Joint Combined Warfighter School – Hybrid. He received his Bachelors in Geospatial Information Science from the United States Military Academy, a Masters in Geospatial Information Science from Pennsylvania State University, and a Masters of Military Art and Science from the Command and General Staff College. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Combat Action Badge, the German Military Armed Forces Proficiency Badge, and the Order of Saint Maurice.

In his civilian capacity, Mr. Scott works for the National-Geospatial Intelligence Agency. Over the years he has held many positions focusing on foundational geospatial information including topographic data and mapping, production planning, data dissemination, geodesy, and geodetic surveying.

LTC Scott is married to Mae Scott, and they have two daughters, Abigail (16) and Emily (13). They currently reside in O’Fallon, IL.
