U.S. Diplomat in Residence for New England speaks at Fletcher

On Monday, September 18, 2023, The Fletcher School hosted Michelle M. Kayser, U.S. Diplomat in Residence for New England.

Diplomats in Residence (DIRs) are career Foreign Service Officers and Specialists located throughout the U.S. who provide guidance and advice on careers, internships and fellowships to students and professionals in the communities they serve.

Kayser, who has performed diplomatic tours in Africa, Europe, and South America, spoke to Tufts University undergraduates about life in the U.S. State Department. Her remarks were introduced by Ambassador Donald Heflin and Professor Tara Sonenshine of the Edward R. Murrow Center.
