Description:
Plimoth Plantation’s internship in Historical Horticulture offers the opportunity to explore both 17th- and 21st-century plants and horticultural practices through practical, hands-on learning experiences. Qualifications:
The Historical Horticulture position is ideal for students who are studying horticulture, agriculture, botany, and/or public history; Please note that this position requires working outdoors in a wide variety of weather conditions and requires a degree of physical strength (lifting up to 50 lbs.) and stamina.

The Guilford Keeping Society operates two museums in Guilford, CT. The Thomas Griswold House and the Medad Stone Tavern. We are looking for a volunteer intern (either for college credit or just to experience museum work) to help with the curatorial duties at our museums. This is an unpaid position. Our Tavern Museum has a great deal of artifacts and archives original to the house. We need an intern to help us label and catalog our artifacts and archives. We also need help developing our web page and Facebook page to better showcase our museums and collections. The intern will experience all aspects of the operation of historic house museums.
