Position Overview & Responsibilities:

This internship will consist of making object-based lesson plans and other educational activities for both in the classroom and in the museum for grades 3-12.  The education program is working in accordance with the Common Core Standards as recognized by the Kentucky Department of Education. In addition, interns will receive basic training in other aspects of museum work, including collections and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Full Time student or recent graduate of an undergraduate or graduate college
  • General interest in a career in education or museum field
  • Experience in the sciences, social sciences, or the arts
  • Open minded and able to work independently
