Tufts SAVMA Travel Grant
SAVMA’s Spring 2024 Travel Grant Application period is now open! Travel Grants can be used for any veterinary related experience, including externships, summer jobs, research projects, and conferences. These are RETROSPECTIVE funds only, and travel that you did between November 1st, 2023 and April 1st, 2024 is eligible for this round of grants. If you are traveling for an experience after April 1st you must wait for the next spring semester round of grants.

Requirements:
- You must be a SAVMA member in good standing to apply! If you are unsure if you are currently in good standing, please reach out to Kirsten Krause the SAVMA Vice President at kirsten.krause@tufts.edu. It is also not too late to pay dues for the year if you want to become a member!
- Travel Grants can be used to cover any travel related expenses for your vet experience—this includes transportation and housing, but NOT food.
- You must submit receipts for any expense you are requesting funding for.
- As mentioned above, all grants are retrospective, so they are awarded for travel that has already occurred. This means the grant is a reimbursement for expenses.
- The maximum amount you can request is $500.
- You can only apply for a grant for one experience. You cannot submit multiple applications. You cannot combine experiences into one application.
Applications are due Friday, April 26th at 5pm. No late applications will be accepted.
This grant is made possible by support from the AVMA, PLIT, and GHLIT who graciously fund the ALL (Achieving, Leading, Learning) for Students program, which allows us to spend more money on you in the areas of wellness, professional development, and leadership 🙂
