Smart Water Meter Student Researcher

Details: I am looking for a student researcher (graduate or undergraduate) to join my ongoing research project on smart water meters. The project aims to understand the patterns in and factors influencing water use in households across Karachi (Pakistan) where we installed smart water meters. These smart meters recorded water use data at 30-sec intervals, resulting in a dataset with a few million observations. The student researcher will work on this large dataset to build predictive models of water use and identify important variables that influence domestic water use.
The ideal candidate should have Experience and/or coursework related to machine learning and statistical analysis with large datasets; Proficiency in R/Python; Ability to work independently and meet deadlines;
The expected workload is ~10 hours per week. The initial engagement will be for 10 weeks, which can be extended depending on student performance and results. The student researcher will be paid $20/hour.
