Senior Foundations Associate, CERES (Boston, MA)

Ceres is a national network of investors, environmental organizations and other public interest groups working with companies and investors to address sustainability challenges such as global climate change.

The Senior Associate role is focused on writing proposals to national and regional foundations, as well as interim and final reports that describe the impact achieved with these awards. The Senior Associate will work closely with the Senior Manager, Foundations and program staff across the organization to translate programmatic plans into compelling funding proposals and reports that evaluate and document successes and progress towards long-term goals and objectives. The Senior Associate will report directly to the Senior Manager, Foundation Development, and will work as a member of the Development team.

Program Analyst

This position is located in the Department of Energy and Environment’s Urban Sustainability Administration. This position will support coordination within the agency, among sister agencies, and with the private sector to advance green building and climate change programs and policies. Responsibilities will include analysis of and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and green building performance, outreach to the private sector, policy research, and support for the District’s Green Building Fund grant program and related projects.

Sustainability Engagement Associate, CDP (New York)

CDP North America is seeking an individual to manage relationships with approximately 200 North American energy and utilities companies. This person will also be responsible for ensuring that company disclosures are aligned with CDP’s guidance and scoring methodologies. Excellent engagement and communication skills, as well as attention to detail, are paramount—as is the ability to understand company needs, identify opportunities, and act on this information. This individual must understand the business implications represented by climate change, and have at least some experience working in or with companies in the energy or utilities sector. Knowledge of, or interest in learning about, water-related risks specific to these companies is also important. This is not a research, analysis or writing role, although there might be limited opportunities to explore these skills in an ad hoc manner.
