Sustainability Communications Coordinator, University of Richmond (Virginia)

The coordinator will also support the Office for Sustainability with event planning and scheduling. This is a 20-hour per week position.

Sustainable Summer ’16, University of Hawaii, (Honolulu, HI)

Hawai‘i has been selected by the International Union for Conservation of Nature to host its World Conservation Congress in September 2016.

The IUCN Congress brings together several thousand leaders and decision-makers from government, civil society, indigenous peoples, business, and academia, with the goal of conserving the environment and harnessing the solutions nature offers to global challenges.

In advance of the IUCN Congress, during summer 2016, the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa Summer Sessions is pleased to offer an array of programs focusing on conservation and sustainability.

Sustainability, Goucher College, (Baltimore, MD)

The sustainability coordinator will provide leadership and coordination to Goucher’s various administrative and co-curricular sustainability efforts.  Through a collaborative approach, the coordinator will connect various campus resources and the work of key stakeholders to maximize Goucher’s impact on reducing waste and supporting green initiatives.  The incumbent will facilitate student involvement in sustainability initiatives; serve as an advisor to several sustainability-related student clubs; and ensure collaboration between all constituents and appropriate offices.  The successful candidate will also develop intentional marketing methods, including print and social media, and update the college’s website with sustainability information.

In addition to these responsibilities, the sustainability coordinator will also serve as a resource to the chairpersons of Goucher’s Environmental Sustainability Advisory Committee (GESAC); collect data and complete annual reports, including greenhouse gas inventory and climate commitment progress reports; and serve as a campus advocate and educator around sustainability initiatives, to include consideration of curricular and co-curricular approaches to educate students about sustainability efforts.
