The Sustainability Program Coordinator/Manager supports the university’s advancement of sustainability strategies and goals by aligning communications, outreach, education, and behavior change with sustainability commitments. This position designs, implements, modifies and manages aforementioned areas and tracks/analyzes impact of efforts for use in assessments, reports and improvement of programs.
The position serves a critical role in Lehigh’s Office of Sustainability. The Office of Sustainability was established in 2012 to identify transformative leverage points that support long-term culture change by aligning environmentally responsible solutions with socially just practices. Through policies and programs that integrate sustainability into the workplace, research & learning, and campus-community partnerships, the Office of Sustainability seeks and embraces new solutions that contribute to a more sustainable campus.

Under the general direction of the Director of Energy, Utilities and Sustainability, this position will provide administrative and program support to the department and will have strategic program leadership roles in support of a wide range of sustainability initiatives having broad impact, with a goal of institutionalizing sustainability values in student, faculty, and staff experience and campus culture. This position supports the Center of Excellence in Environmental Justice and Sustainability (CEJS) and the Office of Research Services and Sponsored Projects (ORSSP).
Reporting to both Director of CEJS and Director of Research, the Grant Officer provides grant prospecting, grant writing, and pre-award services.
This position collaborates with the ORSSP team and relevant divisions in the University.

The Sustainability Engagement & Data Coordinator will develop and deliver outreach and communications for College-wide sustainability programs, projects, initiatives, and events. As a member of the Sustainability Office, the Coordinator works cooperatively with students, faculty, and staff to support and promote activities that build awareness and foster participation in personal and institutional sustainability. The Coordinator also tracks sustainability metrics for multiple analysis and reporting purposes. Both engagement and data management functions are intended to support continuous improvement in reaching the goals of the college Strategic Plan.
