August events in Chinatown… looking for volunteers!

Chinatown Night Out in Tai Tung Village

Date: August 6th | Time: 3:00 – 6:00 PM

This is an annual community-building event that promotes police and community partnerships—a large community event with tables from local businesses and nonprofits, music, dancing, entertainment, and food.  Very popular!
Looking for folks to host a table with puppets and toothbrushes.  Okay to Go for part of the shift.

August Moon

Date: Sunday, 8/11/24 || Time: 10:00 am- 5:00 pm

CCBA’s annual August Moon Festival celebration will take place on Sunday August 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lots of games, activities, prizes and bouncy houses for the young ones (including free popcorn and face painting) and many vendors (including food vendors) throughout the streets of  Chinatown. Looking for shifts of students for throughly out the day. Okay to come for 2 hours.
