FIERCE URGENCY OF NOW FESTIVAL
Organized by City Awake, the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s young professional platform, Fierce Urgency of Now Festival is a decentralized four-day festival with 30+ events hosted by organizations and businesses across Greater Boston. The festival brings Boston’s diverse young professionals together with business leaders, organizations, and their peers to build connection, advance careers, and ignite positive change.
Our name is inspired Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s words at the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, where he spoke of “the fierce urgency of now” — the pressing need for immediate action and lasting change in the face of racial injustice. Today, we strive to carry Dr. King’s message and mission forward by forging a more equitable, inclusive future for Greater Boston.
