Tooth Games at Roxbury Children’s Library
On Saturday, April 1, Tufts SNDA members visited the children’s section of the Roxbury public library to host their annual Tooth Games. The games consisted of oral health-based educative games and lessons for children of all ages. The crowd favorites were the red light, green light game, and the flossing game that involved using thin rope to “floss” out play doh stuck in between spaces of an ice cube tray. Each participant received a bingo card upon entry to use as a fun guide and receive a nice prize once the game was completed. Around 53 parents and children enjoyed the enticing setup and were all able to receive a gift bag with a toothbrush and toothpaste. It was a great initiative, and the hope is to continue to host vibrant Tooth Games in various locations around the city.
