Gabriel Levy (President D’28): Gabriel Levy was born and raised in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and currently resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She began her academic journey by studying biology for her first undergraduate degree. Gabriel then transitioned to dental hygiene, where she discovered her passion for oral health. This newfound love inspired her to pursue a master’s degree in public health, and now she is further advancing her education in dentistry. Outside of her academic pursuits, Gabriel is a dedicated mother to her son. She enjoys a variety of activities, including event planning, cooking, and creating artistic pieces. As President, Gabriel’s primary goal is to nurture a supportive and collaborative atmosphere that enhances the educational journey and encourages personal and professional growth. She believes this initiative will empower her peers to grow into transformative oral health professionals.


Ryane Farrell (Vice President D’28): Ryane Farrell is very excited and honored to serve as the D28 Vice President! She grew up in Windham, New Hampshire and her family moved to Boston in 2021. She graduated from Villanova University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Comprehensive Science. Outside of academics, Ryane loves running, crocheting, and playing with her three golden retrievers: Mia, Molly, and Macie! One of her lifetime goals is to run the six world major marathons. 

Ryane chose Tufts because of its supportive and welcoming community, and she especially values being part of such a diverse class where she learns and grows alongside her classmates. As Vice President, she is committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where every classmate feels supported and valued. She looks forward to strengthening connections with her classmates and ensuring that all voices contribute to the class’s success.


Minyoung Choi (Secretary D’28): Minyoung Choi, was born in South Korea and raised in Yorktown, VA. She earned her B.S. in Biology from Virginia Tech. Now serving her second term as secretary for the D28 class, she has taken a more proactive, preventative approach by focusing on thoughtful organization and clear communication to support her classmates. 

Grounded in a strong personal faith that fosters hope and resilience, Minyoung approaches challenges with confidence and trust in the process. She believes that no journey, especially the demanding path through dental school, should be traveled alone. For her, presence, kindness, and community matter most, and there is no substitute for simply showing up. 

In her role, she compiles a weekly newsletter with key schedules, deadlines, events, and celebrations to help classmates stay organized. She also manages the class Instagram, capturing the spirit and community of D28. Minyoung hopes to lead by example, balancing professionalism with warmth to help her peers thrive both academically and personally.


Zara Mahmood (Treasurer D’28): Zara grew up in Ellicott City, MD, where she gained early exposure to dentistry through shadowing and orthodontic internships. She attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) for her undergraduate studies, where she majored in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology and took on leadership roles as President of the Pre-Dental Society, a Resident Assistant, and a Supplemental Instructor for General Chemistry. Beyond academics, Zara gained professional experience as a dental assistant, front desk receptionist, and research student in the ERILL Lab, where she worked on bacterial DNA analysis.  

In her free time, Zara enjoys cooking, trying new coffee spots, and spending time with family and friends. A fun fact about Zara is that she is fluent in four languages and can code in various languages as well At Tufts, she is actively involved in the Executive Board as Treasurer, ASDA fundraising, and ADEA Pre-Dental mentorship. Zara is extremely excited to use her leadership, organizational, and event planning skills to ensure the success of her class both socially and professionally while working with a strong group of women!
