Give Kids a Smile Event with MAHDA
Massachusetts Hispanic Dental Association (MAHDA) had a special Oral Health Education this past Saturday February 08, 2025, dedicated to children and their family at St. Mary Parish Church in Waltham, MA.
The ADA Give Kids A Smile® (GKAS) program, launched nationally in 2003, provides underserved children with free oral health care. Every year in the month of February, we raise awareness nationally about the importance of oral health to overall health. Services will be provided by approximately 25,000 dentists around the United States and dental team members who volunteer at local events.
Between the volunteers attending was Dr. Ronal Perry Tufts University Director of the International Student Program; Dr. Martha Forero Tufts University Public Heath Department and the Hispanic Student Dental Association (HSDA) Faculty Advisor; Dr. Andreina Moreno MAHDA President; Dr. Merelyn Hong Comprehensive Care Department Tufts University Practice Coordinator and the MAHDA Executive Director; Dr. Zuzana Mendez Tufts Alumni D’2008, and for the Hispanic Student Dental Association Manuela Cardenas D’25 and Nadia Malik D’25 between others.
The group was very excited to serve the Waltham community together.
