On July 29th, 2019 the Vatican Press Office for the Pontifical Academy for Life posted news of the publication by Richard Lerner of an article published in Child Development Perspectives: “Character Development: Four Facets of Virtues.” The article presents Lerner’s conception that character virtues are morally based actions that enable an individual and his or her social world to thrive across time and place.
