Recent Research

These two pages spotlight recent research performed with lead exposure and poisoning.

The first page is an analysis of a Pharmacokinetic Model. This model uses complex mathematics in order to track the journey of lead throughout the body. Researchers hope that using this model will allow them to better understand the interactions and trajectory of lead in the body and how to treat lead poisoning.

The second page is about the use of Humic Acid as Treatment for lead poisoning. Humic acid is a class of chemicals that are found in humus soil. They were tested for treatment of lead poisoning because of their known chelating properties. The study that this page referenced showed promising results for humic acid as a treatment.
