Membership & Development Coordinator – part time [Old South Meeting House, Boston, MA]

Description:
Busy downtown Boston museum, historic site and meeting place seeks part time professional to coordinate and grow an active membership program and annual fund campaign and other development activities in a newly created part time position. Responsibilities include coordinating membership and the year-end annual fund including managing mailing lists, membership applications and renewals, and gift acknowledgements. Also includes communicating with members, helping run members programs and perform related administrative duties as needed. 20-25 hours weekly.

Qualifications:
Seeking a flexible, personable and detail oriented professional with: a B.A. and 2 + years related experience in membership or non-profit fundraising, strong organizational skills and problem solving abilities; the ability to interact effectively with diverse range of people, manage multiple priorities and work independently as well as part of a small staff in a collaborative environment. Familiarity with fundraising database such as Raiser’s Edge preferred. Museum experience and interest in history and/or free speech a plus.
