Scant empirical data exists regarding the racial and ethnic demographics of professionals overseeing pharmaceutical and biotech-funded clinical trials and their relationship to participant diversity. An opportunity lies in promoting diversity by recruiting investigative site personnel that mirrors the patient communities they serve.
