timathertonThe Research Corporation for Science Advancement today announced that Tim Atherton would receive the prestigious Cottrell Scholarship. Atherton was one of fifteen physics and chemistry early-career faculty nationwide to receive this honor, which is presented to faculty who excel at both research and teaching. RCSA interim president Jack Pladziewicz noted that “funding goes to the best and brightest among America’s young academic scientists.” The award recognizes Atherton and the soft matter theory group’s promising research on “Predicting the Stability of Pickering Emulsions through Computer Simulations” and his innovative undergraduate teaching efforts.
