Tim Atherton at KITP
The Kavli Institute is one of the most renowned centers for Theoretical Physics in the world. Located at the University of California Santa Barbara, it hosts programs that bring physicists together from all over the world to work on common problems. By having people co-located in one place, they’re able to collaborate and interact in ways not normally possible in university departments.
This semester, KITP is hosting a program called “Geometry, elasticity, fluctuations, and order in 2D soft matter”. Softmattertheory PI Tim Atherton is spending three weeks at the institute, discussing our work on Pickering Emulsions with other scientists in our field.
