Mentoring Program

The Office of the Vice Provost for Research offers a postdoctoral secondary mentoring program to help you connect with Tufts faculty in addition to your supervisor/PI.

Rather than pairing you with a secondary mentor who may not meet your needs, this program works by having you generate a ranked list of potential mentors from the Tufts faculty. We will contact these faculty to see if any are willing to act as your mentor.

By design, this is meant to be a loosely structured program. Once you are connected, the Postdoctoral Office may occasionally buy you and your secondary mentor lunch, but it will be up to you and your mentor to establish and maintain the relationship.

If you’d like to participate, please send the following information to Andrew.Bohm@tufts.edu.

  1. Your name
  2. E-mail address
  3. Phone number
  4. Department
  5. School within Tufts

We’ll contact the faculty you list in the order you specify. Please recognize that we cannot guarantee that any of the the faculty you choose will agree to participate. You are also, of course, encouraged to contact faculty yourself. If you’ve successfully connected with a faculty member (other than your supervisor), please let us know who you’ve connected with so we can add you to the list of pairs.
