Museum Assistant [Old South Meeting House]

Description:  The Old South Meeting House, a non-profit museum, historic site and active meeting place in the heart of downtown Boston, seeks dependable and personable individuals to work with the general public in admissions, on the floor of the museum and in the museum shop. Responsibilities may also include giving occasional interpretive talks and assisting with educational programs.

 

Qualifications:  Requires successful experience working with the public, enthusiasm for interacting with visitors and an interest in museum work and history. This is an entry-level, visitor service position with training provided; prior museum experience is a plus but is not required. We are currently seeking candidates available to work one to two days per week (weekend availability is required) with an occasional third day.
