Art Inventory Project [City of Medford]

Posted by Phillippa Pitts on March 2, 1973 in job announcements |

What: Creation of a print and online inventory of the art objects owned by the City of Medford. The final inventory will include images, artist and material information, and brief histories of each object where available.  The online inventory will be mounted on the Library’s website.
When: The project can be started after June 1, 2013.  The project must be completed by December 2013 to fulfill grant guidelines. The project pays $1000. An additional $200 is available if the student provides a lecture in 2014.
Where: A workspace will be provided at the Medford Public Library. A great deal of the research can be done using library sources, but additional research will be required in the records at Medford City Hall and other city departments.   Photographs will be taken on site so some travel around the city will be required.  A camera will be provided.
Requirements:  Ability to carry out independent research. The student will need to provide a laptop.  Familiarity with Drupal for the website would be an asset but is not essential.
