The Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) is currently seeking an Oral History Archivist to work at the Wisconsin Veterans Museum in downtown Madison, on the Capitol Square and a short distance to State Street and Monona Terrace.
The Oral History Archivist oversees the Oral History program and collection. This position provides expertise in recommending and establishing policies, procedures and initiatives related to the program. The incumbent conducts oral history interviews, oversees and trains oral history volunteers, identifies and collects biographical information about veterans who would like to be interviewed, and schedules and coordinates the interviews. In addition, the incumbent develops, maintains and organizes the oral history collection and makes the content accessible to the public and other museum staff members.
Starting salary is between $17.072 and $18.147 per hour, depending on qualifications, plus benefits.
