The Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas seeks a dynamic Education Coordinator to join team of an AAM accredited institution. Responsibilities include planning and implementing: tours, classes, school partnerships, education outreach, special events, and interpretive materials for exhibitions. Candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree, art or science preferred. Minimum two years museum education, interpretation, or teaching experience preferred. This is a hands-on job and the ideal candidate: is a team player with excellent written and verbal communications skills; has the ability to multi-task and work in a public environment; and is a people-person. Criminal background check required. Must have reliable transportation. Full time, health insurance, paid vacation and holidays. Schedule is Tuesday–Friday with 1/2 day on Saturday, some evenings required. Job necessitates lifting up to 40 pounds and standing on feet for six hours.
