This position is located at the N.C. Museum of History in Raleigh. The Historic Publications Editor II develops, schedules, coordinates, edits, researches, and selects illustrations for, proofreads, assists in the design of (using Desktop Publishing), and oversees printing of The Tar Heel Junior Historian Magazine (Two issues per year), a publication of The Tar Heel Junior Historian Association. The position also provides other editorial, marketing, and promotional services to the Tar Heel Junior Historian Association and Education Section. Duties may include writing articles and supplementary copy; supervising Interns, Volunteers, and Part-time Staff; and assisting with museum educational programs.
