DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AT REGIONAL ART MUSEUM: Newport Art Museum seeks dynamic Director of Marketing to join its senior leadership team. Reporting to the Executive Director, he/she develops the strategies that articulate the Museum’s mission in the context of 21st century audiences (members, students, visitors and donors); oversees all marketing and advertising of strategic initiatives and annual programs, events, classes and exhibitions; edits the tri-annual Museum Newsletter and monthly newspaper column; develops media sponsorship relationships and creates an annual advertising schedule of in-kind and paid advertising; interfaces with vendors for advertising product, signage, website development; and, oversees data tracking and analysis. Requirements: 3-5 years marketing experience at an art museum or similar nonprofit; Master’s degree in museum/arts administration, museum studies, public humanities, marketing, journalism or equivalent or equivalent combination of academic and professional experience in a nonprofit setting; experience and ability to write about the fine arts, art education, museum programs and community impact of the arts; knowledge and experience writing reports, press releases, advertisements, print collateral, email marketing; demonstrated ability to set goals, manage multiple projects and achieve results in a fast-paced environment; excellent oral presentation and interpersonal skills; collaborative work-style; experience with website management, Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, social media and email marketing systems, data management; experience with budget planning and implementation.
