The Wichita Art Museum seeks a skilled and team-oriented museum art educator to join the dynamic and creative education department. This position requires a creative problem-solver who will thrive in a fast-paced work environment and is suited to the art museum setting. Experience and knowledge working with pre-K, youth and families is required. In this role, administrative duties for WAM’s pre-K, youth and family programs is complemented with hands-on teaching of creative art activities and gallery interactives. The assistant curator of education reports to the curator of education and works collaboratively with volunteers, part time educators and the entire WAM staff.
