Description:
Berkshire Museum seeks an energetic and creative educator to join our team as the Museum’s Education Specialist. The primary focus of this position is delivering Museum programming in after-school settings. We are looking for an individual who can deliver the Museum’s creative and engaging curriculum while maintaining an active understanding of Museum education best practices. A natural science background or love of science is a plus.
Qualifications:
The qualified candidate will have:
3 years of experience working as an educator (formally or informally);
Experience working with the general public, in a museum or other public program setting, preferred
A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Science, or Visual Arts and/or combination of Associates
Degree with demonstrated professional experience;
Excellent writing and public speaking skills
Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and in a team-oriented environment;
Ability to communicate professionally with administrators, educators, and the general public.
