Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, Vermont has an immediate opening for a Part-time Publicist. Reporting to the Museum’s Director of Development, the Publicist will be responsible for creating and distributing press releases and other publicity materials (emails, social media posts, blogs posts, etc) to a wide array of audiences. Primary focus for this position will be promotion of museum initiatives to key local, national and international news publications. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of applicable PR or marketing experience, must have excellent writing and speaking skills, the ability to make “cold calls” to reporters a plus. Experience with writing press releases required. Relationships with local and national reporters preferred.
