Phipps is seeking a full-time Director of Marketing and Communications to develop and implement approved long-term marketing plans for the overall needs of the Conservatory.  The Director of Marketing and Communications will report directly to the Executive Director and also work closely with board members and senior staff.  As Director of Marketing and Communications, he/she will be responsible for publicizing and interpreting the mission of the Conservatory to local, regional and national news media. Under the direction of the Executive Director, he/she will plan, direct and coordinate all aspects of approved marketing, public relations and underwriting activities at Phipps Conservatory.

The candidate must be a professional, highly motivated and reliable individual with considerable knowledge of computers with Microsoft windows environment.  Ability to plan, implement and coordinate public relations and media relations strategies and activities, as well as communicate enthusiastic support of Phipps’ mission is required.  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications or related field and 3-5 years’ senior level management experience required; museum/nonprofit experience is a plus.  Phipps offers a competitive compensation package and a beautiful, unique atmosphere.
